BOOK APPOINTMENT

It is highly recommended to first contact us by email before travelling to Helsinki. Then everything can be fixed ready for you and you day in our clinic. Day schedule is always fixed. First physiotherapist meets you, checks all the needed information, and performs some short tests. This is followed by clinical evaluation by professor Salo, and then CBCT imaging. You will then meet professor Salo again, going through all the imaging findings, and our suggestion for treatment.  Joint injection can cause discomfort and some swelling of the joint for couple of hours.

If you prefer surgery immediately, that can be arranged. Then it is adviced to book initial operation time prior to your visit, please inform our cartilage coordinator to organise that.  In these cases it is adviced to stay the first night after operation in our hospital, and depending on the case, stay in Helsinki at least couple of days to follow-up your recovery and exercises. Or you can stay in Helsinki for a longer period in one of the many hotels nearby, exercise here and have additional follow-up visits in our hospital.
