Imaging / Diagnostics

Picture
We are the world leader in joint cartilage CBCT imaging. Professor Salo is the initiator in the world to get CBCT technology for use in orthopaedic diagnostics, and has a vast experience in CBCT diagnostics. We have used contrast enhanced CBCT technology in our hospital now for four years.

Planmed Verity(R) is available anytime during office hours, serving our customers in fracture diagnostics, foot and ankle alignment issues in weight bearing mode, and in cutting edge cartilage imaging.

Data is archived in isotropic mode, it means that you will have a cloud of the whole imaging area with original voxels of 0.2 mm in all XYZ drections. This data can then be used in countless ways to recalculate projections or slices of any thickness and view of angle. There is a learning curve to jump from predetermined slices to multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), but we truly believe that is worth it and we are ready to teach this and share our experience with other surgeons and radiologists.

If you are interested in seeing and learning this kind of new technology in practice, please feel free to contact us.

Rehabilitation is a crucial part of cartilage surgery. Our goal is to allow and encourage early exercises after cartilage surgery. Our physiotherapists have deep knowledge on these topics, and they can share their experience with you.
